Dear Soul,
I shared this practice recently in my Soul-Centered email series (you can subscribe here) and wanted to take a moment to share it here as well because it’s a useful practice during destabilizing times - it’s simple, accessible and moves us in the direction of inner stability, harmony and peace which makes us more available to promoting the conditions that foster outer stability, harmony and peace (because it’s tough to step back and respond with compassion, peace and Love when there are alarm bells going off and your nervous system is screaming “danger” all the time).
There’s a lot of talk about nervous system regulation that seems to equate it with a sense of blissed-out calm but that doesn't make a lot of sense when you’re standing in the middle of chaos - in situations like that, it’s 100% appropriate for your nervous system to be on high alert and it’s tough to move through the world always on high alert so practices that help us be in a more honest and loving relationship with ourselves in the midst of the chaos are golden. This is one of those practices. (Click the caption to view the practice)
How does this fit into my creativity project this season? I think that consciously creating the conditions within ourselves that allow us to participate in consciously creating the world we want to live in is an excellent use of our creative energy.
And we need to be gentler with ourselves in general. We are individually and collectively going through a period of incredible shift. It is my intention for this to be an evolution in the direction of peace, Love, prosperity, power and freedom for all but that’s not the system we’ve lived in so it means we have to dismantle some stuff within ourselves so we can make it happen. That is more possible when we are well-tended.
Sending you Love,
Tawnia
